Eleanor studied Arabic at Durham University and her initial work in international market research led to her developing an interest in international development and a change in career path. Eleanor is now an independent consultant with 20 years experience working for international NGOs in developing countries and UK. During her time working with VSO and CARE International in South Asia, Africa and the Middle East, and with Sightsavers International in UK, Eleanor has developed a wide range of experience in project development, programme management, monitoring and evaluation, partnership working, policy development and application in practice, organisational learning, disability issues, training and facilitation.

Eleanor became a trustee in 2009 and sits on the Programme Development Committee.

Eleanor lives in Brighton.
