For the first time, from 2nd to 11th October 2009, ICT organised a Cycle Challenge in Tanzania.
As with our previous Challenges in India, Sri Lanka, Kenya and Cambodia, participants had the opportunity to visit an ICT project and see the positive outcomes of their fundraising efforts!
Participants took part in a stunning 400km cycle challenge. From the coast of the India Ocean, pedalling through game reserves, passing Maasai tribes and camping under the starry African sky. From ‘Dar es Salaam, cycling towards Saadani National Park to the village of Ngerengere. Finally arriving at the foot of the Ulguru Mountains outside Morogoro. This ride took particiapantts off the beaten track and beyond the boundaries of a normal safari.
