Why tick the Gift Aid box when making a donation?
Under the Gift Aid Scheme, the UK Government matches any donation to a registered charity with 28% of their own money.
For example:
• If you give £10
• The taxman will add £2.82
• Giving a total of £12.82
Thus for every £500 we receive we can claim £140 in Gift Aid from the Government. This would enable 4 children to buy a school uniform and shoes giving them the opportunity to enrol in school. And this is at NO extra cost to you!
But in order for us to be able to claim the Gift Aid there are few things you need to remember first!
• We cannot recover Gift Aid unless we your full name, address and postcode, so any forms that show J. Smith, c/o Allied Brewery are not acceptable even if you have ticked the Gift Aid box so please fill in the donation form carefully.
• ICT is only able to claim gift aid from people who are currently UK taxpayers. Please follow these instructions otherwise we cannot claim Gift Aid on your donation.
