PROGRAMMES OFFICER

ICT requires a new Programmes Officer (PO) to join our Programmes Team in developing and implementing our Programmes Strategy. Our POs are responsible for a range of responsibilities, including raising funds from and reporting back to institutional donors and monitoring, evaluating our programmes partnership work and co-ordinating learning throughout our network of partners. ICT’s participatory approach includes an emphasis on relationship-building with our local partners in Africa and Asia.

The chosen candidate will participate in the process of shaping our next 3 year plan, in which the mainstreaming of disability will be a major component. The chosen candidate will therefore ideally have disability experience. We also want the chosen candidate to be a leader capable of facilitating the changes that we envisage with our partners, and to have at least 4 years of international development experience.

POs are line-managed by ICT’s Chief Executive and work as part of the small ICT Team, sharing skills, workload and ideas for improving ICT’s overall work and assisting with the day-to-day administration within the office.

TRUSTEE & INTERNATIONAL DEVELOPMENT EXPERT, SUB-SAHARAN AFRICA

International Childcare Trust seeks a new Trustee to join its Board with a background in international development with expertise in Sub-Saharan Africa.  ICT’s Trustees are volunteers.  As we have been working in Kenya since the early 1990s and are have been supporting programmes of work in Tanzania and Uganda over the course of the past three years, someone with child rights expertise in East Africa would be particularly desirable.  Individuals who are actually from the above countries, who are living and working in international development in London, are strongly encouraged to apply.

Further details and a full job description and person specification are contained in the document below:
